A Brave Prayer

A Brave Prayer

This one prayer of Jesus gets me every time. He was facing the cross, pain and death. We don’t know every word that He cried out to His Father, but we do know the posture of His heart.

“My heart is troubled, and what shall I say? ‘Father, save me from this?
No, …Father, glorify your name!”
John 12:27-28

What if Jesus’ prayer is one we can utter today? If your tempted to give up. If life feels really difficult.  If the mountain in your way hasn’t yet moved…what can you pray?

You can say, God, glorify your name. He can still work and move in your life, right where you are.  He can still bring glory to His name in and through your situation.  He can still be God in your life today.

Jesus knew His purpose. And He was surrendered. May we, too, embrace our purpose and God’s plan. May we courageously invite God to be glorified in it all today. – Sandi
