The beginning of a new year brings out 2 things in me: excitement and a little fear about so many unknowns. The “not yets” can be scary. But it is where God calls us to trust in Him.
Has God ever called you to take a step into the “unknown?” A step that requires you trust His voice more than what you see?
“Go and stand in the river…and as soon as their feet touched the water’s edge, the water from upstream stopped flowing.” Joshua 3: 8, 15-16
It made no sense. The invitation to go stand in the flowing river. But as soon as they took a step of faith, God was faithful. He made a way where there seemed to be no way. He parted the water so they could see the dry path ahead.
You can trust God’s invitation, even when you can’t see to the other side. It is so easy to take the path that seems logical, or just follow the crowd. But God’s way is always better. Listen for His voice, follow His lead, take a step of faith. You can trust His heart.
