Did any of your kids ever say this to you? “You’re not the boss of me!” I may or may not have heard that from my littles. And it always prompted a discussion…..and a correction. “Yes, I am the boss of you!”
“Whoever serves me must follow me.” John 12:26
Simply put: If you’re a child of God, He is the boss of you…..and me. And at times, I need that reminder. My prone to rebel heart struggles with not getting my way or what I want.
But what if God’s authority in and over your life is a good thing? He’s God. He created the universe. He lovingly sent His son for us. He loves unconditionally.
So, here’s the reminder: He is the leader. If we say we love Him, we must follow. He is God. We are not. And that is actually a really good thing. #surrenderisnteasy
