What do you when you’re overwhelmed or at the end of your rope? It doesn’t matter what the cause of the frustration is, I do these things, in order:
- Cry
- Call a friend
- Try to “fix” it or get out of it.
“… my heart is troubled, so do I say, ‘Father save me from this? No. Father, glorify your name.”
John 12:27-28.
Jesus was facing the cross and death. He was troubled. But He was also surrendered. He wanted God to get the glory….come what may. He wanted to obey, no matter the cost.
I don’t know that I’ll be able to stop crying or calling a friend. But my heart needs to grow in the area of “God, glorify your name through my life.”
