What do you do when life feels unfair? When suffering comes. When the pain won’t leave?
“God may kill me, but still I will trust him.” Job 13:15
Job lost everything. Including his children. And there was no understandable reason why. He was a good man. He was faithful to God.
I wonder if Job ever felt like God wasn’t fair or faithful to him in return? Job wrestled with God, his faith and his friends. But in the end, he chose to trust.
What is your “suffering default?” Mine is to get angry and sad. But even in your doubting, angry, and sad moments, you have someone to turn to. Hope is available. Because God is close.
Job seemingly lost everything. Except hope. Because His hope was placed in God alone. The source of all comfort and peace, even when this life falls apart. May you trust God today, even through your suffering. Hope wins. – Sandi
