Have you ever wondered if God’s GPS is broken? I have. I sometimes question His plans and His timing. “What are you doing, God? Why did you bring me here?”
We can’t see the destination or the good, so we conclude that God must be wrong or unkind.
“God didn’t lead them on the road…that was shorter….God led them around by the desert road toward the Red Sea.” Exodus 13:17-18.
You may know the ending to the story…God parted the waters, and His people were saved.
But while on the “longer than necessary” journey, they didn’t know the outcome. It had to seem puzzling to them. There had to be moments of doubt and fear, as the enemy approached. They hadn’t seen God work yet.
If that’s where you are today, remember that God doesn’t always choose the shortcut. He works in ways that help us grow and trust Him. God was positioning them for His purposes. And for a miracle. You can trust where God is leading you! – Sandi
