TITLE: Multi-Instrumentalist Instructor
SUPERVISOR: School of the Arts Director
JOB DESCRIPTION:
At Pathfinder School of the Arts, our goal is to teach music and nurture talent in students of all ages and abilities, while promoting a lifelong enjoyment and love for music. We emphasize creative learning strategies and encourage students to learn contemporary styles of vocal music, including worship, pop, country, musical theater, and singer-songwriter. The instructor is expected to tailor the lesson according to the student’s musical interests and goals, but there is no required curriculum that the School of the Arts provides or expects the instructor to teach. School of the Arts provides all students to instructors and schedules lessons in 3 sessions: Fall, Spring, and Summer. Each Fall and Spring session, the
instructor will teach 14) 30-minute lessons. During the summer session, the instructor will teach 8) 30-minute lessons.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Teach 30-minute private instrument lessons at Pathfinder
• Communicate with students and parents before and during each session
• Mark student attendance weekly
• Prepare students for recitals and attend recitals (3 per year)
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
• Be proficient in multiple instruments: piano, guitar, drums, etc
• Community Instructor – no music degree required
• Specialist Instructor – must have a music degree or career as a professional musician
WORK SCHEDULE:
• Lessons held Monday through Thursday 3:00pm to 9:00pm
