Every time I think I have God figured out, He reminds me that He is God and I’m not. And that’s a good thing!
“My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord. As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways and thoughts higher than yours.” Isaiah 55:8-9
I love getting a glimpse into how God is working. But the truth is, we’re not capable of fully grasping His thoughts and ways.
If I’m honest, that is both frustrating and freeing to me. It would be nice to know what is going on and what the future holds. But at the same time, it isn’t ours to know or carry. The load would be too great. And our understanding is too limited.
Instead, we can rest and trust in the One who is higher. We don’t have to figure it all out. But we can have confidence in the One who already has. His thoughts and ways are higher. And they include you. – Sandi
