I can throw a pretty mean pity party. I think it’s because I have so much experience! You know the feeling: life throws you a curveball. You didn’t see it coming, and it all feels really unfair.
“After they had been stripped and beaten, they were thrown into prison…
about midnight, they were praying and singing to God, and the other prisoners were listening.”
Acts 16:23-25
They had every right to question God or feel like He was being unfair. But instead of throwing a pity party, Paul and Silas prayed and worshiped.
And God used them, in that very difficult situation, to point other people to Jesus.
What if God can use the unfair in your life, too? What if your “faith under fire” is a catalyst for someone else to find Jesus?
Know this: God is with you. Even now. And He can be your peace and strength through the most difficult seasons. Cling to Him. Cry out to Him. And trust that He’ll not only see you through, but He just may use your worship to reach someone else. -Sandi
