Peace isn’t found in the absence of trouble. It is found in the presence of God. I heard someone share about that recently. The reminder was good for my soul because I can fixate on the troubles in any given day instead of God’s presence and blessings.
“You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies…surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life.” Psalm 23:5-6
Did you catch it? Even in battle. Even when you feel surrounded, God prepares a table for you. He meets with you. He provides for you. He is there.
I need that reminder. That His goodness and faithfulness aren’t measured by the lack of troubles I face. No. His goodness follows me. And you. Everywhere. Into the broken relationships. The tearful moments. Every difficult thing this world throws your way.
He goes before you. Today. And is preparing exactly what you need. He is with you. So, surely goodness and love will follow you. You can find His presence and peace in it all. – Sandi
