Sometimes victory looks like being quiet. Obedience feels like walking the same path over and over. And the battle looks impossible until the walls start falling down.
“Do not give a war cry, do not raise your voices, do not say a word until the day I tell you to shout. Then shout!” Joshua 6:10
It was an unlikely battle plan. Walk around the enemy’s city for 6 days. And on the 7th day, walk around the city 7 times. Then shout.
The enemy was close. The doubts had to be present. Day one, two, three…their circumstances weren’t changing at all. But they kept marching. They continued to obey. Silently marching. Trusting in God’s promise.
The 7th day came. They marched. They shouted. They were obedient.. And God was faithful. He caused the enemy’s fortified walls to crumble right in front of them.
There is something in this story for you today. If you’re in the heat of the battle, God has a plan. Listen for his voice. Walk it out. Until.
He has already won. – Sandi
