Has it ever cost you something to follow Jesus? I am inspired and challenged by the courage of the first Christ followers. After Jesus was crucified, can you imagine how much faith it took to say, “I’m with Him”? To identify yourself as one of His followers? Many were beaten and killed, but they were sharing Jesus with their last breath.
“I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes.” Romans 1:16
Jesus had changed their lives, and they couldn’t keep quiet. They knew who Jesus was. They knew the cost of following Him. And they knew the loss in not knowing Him. They were empowered by the Holy Spirit.
The same is true for you. Whatever the cost, may we courageously share Jesus. There is no greater honor. #notashamed – Sandi
