Have you noticed that life isn’t fair? “Bad things” happen to “good people.” “Good things” happen to “bad people.” It is easy to get overwhelmed, cynical or numb. But here is another option.
“Consider it pure joy whenever you face trials because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance.” James 1:2-3
No one would choose to walk through a trial or testing. But God’s heart can be found, even in the really difficult stuff, because He can and will bring good out of it all.
He doesn’t cause or inflict pain. But if He has allowed it, then He will use it…..for good.
What you’re facing may develop something in your character. It may cause you to lean into Him more for strength. It may allow Him to reveal Himself to you in a way that changes everything.
God wastes nothing. He will use it all, the pain and the testing, to grow and change you for good. That’s where joy is found. – Sandi
