I have recognized two ways that the enemy tries to trip me up:
- Fear
- Discouragement.
When I’m afraid or discouraged, I tend to focus more on my situation than on trusting God. It is like the enemy has me paralyzed from the inside out.
“Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9
This is a “go-to” verse for me. I simply need the reminder…often…that God is with me.
Are you afraid? Discouraged? God is with you.
He isn’t disappointed in you for feeling anxious. He is simply reminding you and inviting you into His presence and plan.
You have nothing to fear. God is with you. And nothing you face today can match the power and grace of God. Don’t let discouragement and fear win. – Sandi
