Does life ever feel numb, like you’re going through the motions, but the fire has gone out? Maybe you feel stuck? Or spiritually dry?
“I will put my Spirit in you, and you will live…” Ezekiel 37:14
God spoke those words to people who were already living. But they were not fully alive. Does that sound familiar? There is a difference between breathing and being fully alive. And God is at the root of both.
He is the author of life, giving breath to your lungs. But He also invites you to become fully alive by His Spirit living in and through you.
If it has been a while since you have felt spiritually alive, call out to the giver of life. Ask Him to breathe afresh on you. Spend some time in His Word and presence.
Don’t settle for numb. Or living life on empty. God wants to breathe new life into you today. Then, you will live, really live. – Sandi
