TITLE:
KidsMin Creative Arts Director SUPERVISOR:
Kid’s Ministry Director

PURPOSE STATEMENT:
This position is responsible for providing creative leadership, vision, and direction to all aspects of large group worship experiences and productions in Kids Ministry.

RESPONSIBLITIES:
MINISTRY LEADERSHIP
• Responsible for the large group aspect of Kid’s Ministry (programming, environment, tech, and volunteer coordination) for:
o Weekend worship Kid’s Ministry environments for:
 Room 7 Clubhouse
 Room 8/9
o Elements of Eggstravaganza and Christmas Experience in coordination with other ministry teams
o Summer Blast (specifically the stage production);
o Friday Frenzie;
o Other events, as determined by the team.
• Engage the next generation with relevant and engaging teaching, music and worship;
• Oversee the selection of theatrical elements and music for children utilizing current cultural tools and trends;
• Utilize curriculum and adapting necessary lessons to meet the needs for Kid’s Ministry large group worship experiences;
• Actively participate in Weekend Team efforts to accomplish the goals of the church as they relate to the ministry at large;
• Follow and enforce all child protection policies and procedures as stated in the Child Protection Policy and Procedure Manual;
• Ensure that all volunteers undergo training in all policies and procedures as they relate to the ministry;
• Be a contributor in the creative planning process for occasional special worship services;
• Collaborate regularly with Kids Ministry staff to develop curriculum, programming, and special events.

VOLUNTEER GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT
• Planning, preparing, and leading rehearsals that will effectively prepare volunteer leaders;
• Recruit for multiple volunteer teams including presenters, worship leaders and tech;
• Schedule all Kids Min Large Group volunteers for weekends;
• Encourage the spiritual growth and oversee skills development of Kids Ministry Large Group volunteers;
• Build community among volunteers to make volunteering in Kids Ministry a profoundly enriching experience;
• Work with Kids Min team to create skill development workshops and spiritual growth events to help grow volunteers in skills and faith.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Experience with a variety of approaches, models, and resources necessary for carrying out a vital creative ministry geared towards the children;
• Previous experience in developing creative programming, preferred;
• Ability to provide leadership for a large number of volunteers and build ministry teams by raising up volunteer leaders;
• Strong written and verbal communication skills;
• Displays exceptional skills in working with people;
• Prior experience working with children and/or a background in child development is helpful.
• A degree in a related field is helpful (ex. Education, Child Development, Children’s Ministry, Music, Theater, Tech);
• Experience with MS Office, ProPresenter, and Planning Center Services, preferred;
• Technical proficiency in lighting, sound, and/or AV is helpful;
• A strong and personal commitment to Jesus Christ, a member of Pathfinder Church and/or an eagerness to join the Pathfinder Church community.
WORK SCHEDULE:
Part time position working 28 hours a week, normally including Tuesdays 7:30am – 3:30pm, Wednesday 8:00am – 3:30pm, Fridays from 8:00am – 3:30pm, and Sundays from 7:00am – 12:30pm. Other meetings and ministry events require additional time outside regular work hours such as Friday Frenzie one Friday evening a month, volunteer meetings and events, Pathfinder Front Door Events, evening Summer Blast Production meetings, and Summer Blast rehearsals. Starting 6 weeks before Summer Blast, additional hours will be required.
