Austin French spent an hour with nearly 200 men at Farmington Correctional Center, and it was powerful…
He didn’t come with a polished show. He came with his story — growing up a pastor’s kid, watching his parents’ marriage fall apart, getting asked to leave his own church as a teenager. And when he sang “Broken Home,” something shifted in the room.
Matt Petty, a Corrections Case Manager, said guys who’d been “big, tough, strong” were “weeping uncontrollably.” Petty said he was one of them.
One man later told him he couldn’t come to any more of these events “because I’m tired of crying in front of everybody.” Soon after that, he shared something bigger! He’d renounced his former faith in Islam and given his life to Jesus!
About 99% of the men at Farmington are going home. They’ll be your neighbor. They’ll ring up your groceries. They’ll pump your gas. Matt shared, “so why would we want to leave them the same way we found them?”
God is doing something behind prison walls! Watch what happened when the walls came down.
