Make a Difference Beyond the Therapy Room
Hope Ranch of Missouri is seeking a compassionate, skilled Youth Trauma Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team serving children and adolescents who have experienced significant trauma, abuse, neglect, disrupted attachments, and instability.
At Hope Ranch, therapy doesn’t happen in isolation.
Our therapist works alongside residential staff, educators, families, case managers, and other members of the treatment team to help youth heal, develop healthy relationships, build resilience, and prepare for successful futures.
This position offers the opportunity to know the young people you serve beyond a weekly therapy session and to see firsthand the impact your clinical work has on their daily lives.
Provisionally licensed clinicians are strongly encouraged to apply. Clinical supervision toward full licensure is available.
$3,000–$5,000 Clinician Retention Incentive
Hope Ranch is offering a retention incentive for qualified clinicians who join our team:
Provisionally Licensed Clinicians – PLPC or LMSW
• $3,000 retention incentive
• Additional $2,000 upon obtaining full licensure
Fully Licensed Clinicians – LPC or LCSW
• $5,000 retention incentive
Retention incentive is payable upon completion of 13 months of employment, subject to eligibility requirements.
What You’ll Do
As Hope Ranch’s Trauma Therapist, you will provide trauma-informed clinical services to children and adolescents and work collaboratively with the people supporting them throughout their treatment.
Responsibilities include:
• Provide individual, family, and group therapy.
• Provide evidence-based, trauma-focused therapeutic interventions.
• Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments.
• Develop and regularly update individualized treatment plans.
• Utilize appropriate evidence-based modalities, which may include TF-CBT, EMDR, CBT, DBT, and other trauma-informed approaches.
• Help youth develop healthy coping strategies, emotional regulation skills, resilience, and stronger relationships.
• Engage families in treatment and support reunification, permanency, and successful transitions when appropriate.
• Collaborate closely with residential staff, educators, case managers, families, and other members of the multidisciplinary treatment team.
• Participate in case consultations, treatment team meetings, and clinical supervision.
• Provide clinical consultation and support to other members of the Hope Ranch team as appropriate.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation.
• Ensure services and documentation meet applicable professional, organizational, licensing, and payer requirements.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and remain current with trauma-informed and evidence-based treatment practices.
Who We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate is someone who:
• Has a genuine passion for helping children and adolescents heal from trauma.
• Understands that behaviors often communicate needs, experiences, and emotions that young people may not yet have the skills to express.
• Can establish safe, trusting therapeutic relationships with youth who may have experienced significant loss, instability, abuse, or neglect.
• Practices trauma-informed, client-centered care.
• Values family involvement and multidisciplinary collaboration.
• Communicates effectively with youth, families, coworkers, and outside professionals.
• Is organized and confident in completing clinical documentation.
• Demonstrates sound professional judgment, ethics, compassion, and appropriate boundaries.
• Is comfortable working as part of a team rather than practicing in an isolated clinical environment.
• Is committed to continued professional growth and learning.
