For 14 years, Ben Fuller was a master at hiding. On the outside, he had it all together—a house, a nice truck, a good job. But underneath, he was carrying something heavy. Addiction, shame, and the pain of never feeling enough followed him wherever he went—even 1,250 miles away to Nashville. He thought he could outrun it. He thought he was okay. But one dinner invitation changed everything…

Ben Fuller Testimony: From Addiction to New Life in Christ
The Ben Fuller testimony is one of raw honesty, deep pain, and supernatural transformation. What started as a story of hidden addiction and relentless striving turned into a powerful encounter with Jesus—one that changed everything. If you’ve ever felt like you’re too far gone or like nothing ever truly fills the void, Ben’s story might be exactly what you need to hear.
Who Is Ben Fuller?
Before the record deals and packed-out shows, Ben Fuller was just a kid from a dairy farm in Vermont, working long days alongside his dad and singing along to classic country tunes. Music was always there, but so was an ache he couldn’t shake, a weight he didn’t know how to carry.
What happened next was something only God can do. Ben Fuller’s testimony is proof that no one is too far gone for grace.
Early Struggles and Secret Battles
From the outside, Ben Fuller’s life looked steady. But underneath, he was drowning. Raised with the belief that nothing he did was ever enough, Ben grew up carrying the weight of unspoken expectations.
That pressure turned inward. At 16, Ben attempted suicide, convinced he wasn’t truly loved. By 18, he was drinking regularly, numbing the ache with alcohol, and later, cocaine. But he didn’t see himself as an addict—because he could still “function.” He wore the disguise well, hiding the wreckage from nearly everyone, including his own parents.
For over 14 years, Ben spiraled in silence, trapped in a cycle of partying, broken relationships, and shame. He once said, “It ate me from the inside out. It constantly followed me everywhere.”
But even then, God hadn’t given up on him.
A Life Transformed: Ben Fuller Meets Jesus
In 2018, Ben packed up his life and moved to Nashville to chase a country music career. He had the house, the truck, the job—but not peace. The addiction he thought he could outrun followed him the full 1,250 miles. “You can’t escape it,” he said. “It’ll find you wherever you go.”
But so will God.
One night, a family from Vermont—people Ben knew from back home—invited him to dinner. At the end of the meal, they asked if he’d come to church. Out of gratitude, he said yes. What he didn’t expect was that a single Sunday service would mark the beginning of a brand-new life.
As worship filled the room at Church of the City in Franklin, Tennessee, something shifted. Surrounded by people with their hands raised, Ben encountered the presence of God in a way he never had before.
It was here he heard Jon Reddick singing his song, God Turn It Around.
Romans 10:9 rang true in Ben’s heart:
“If you believe in your heart and confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord… you will be saved.”
Right there in the aisle, he whispered a prayer that might’ve sounded like, “Jesus, help me.”
Freedom from Addiction and a New Identity
That moment in the church aisle wasn’t just emotional—it was transformational. Over the next few months, Ben began to change in ways he couldn’t explain. The drugs, the sleeping around, the language—it all started to fall away.
“I didn’t even want the taste of alcohol in my mouth,” he said. “I’ve been changed. I’m brand new in Christ.”
But it wasn’t an easy road. He lost friends. He felt alone. At times, he even questioned if he was crazy for believing. But God didn’t leave him hanging. Slowly, He filled the empty spaces—sending new friends, unexpected provision, and a peace Ben had never known.
Looking back, Ben sees it clearly:
“I tried everything—drugs, sex, music, success—and nothing ever worked. God left me with no more options but Him.”
And that’s why he shares his story so boldly. If you’re out of answers, running on empty, or wondering if change is even possible, Ben Fuller’s testimony is living proof. His name is Jesus. And you can ask Him for yourself.
