Mother’s Day is almost here (May 10th, 2026!), and we’ve collected a couple of ideas that are perfect for those of you who live in the St. Louis area! So, no need to stress, because we’re sure she will love at least one of these options. Whether she’s your mom, the mother of your children, or a mother-figure in your life, here are some ideas that are quick and full of heart!
- Bring her a special coffee or tea to start her day off right
- There are so many cute, local coffee shops (La Cosecha is one of our faves!) where you could swing by and pick her up a fancy coffee. Also, you can add a special touch by asking the barista to write, “Happy Mother’s Day!” on the cup!
- Make a handmade card for her
- Whether you’re artistic or not, handmade cards always have more heart than anything you could find in a store. We’re sure she’ll keep it forever, pin it up on the fridge, and tell her friends how sweet your thoughtful gift was. (If you want to spruce it up a bit, you could also add a gift card inside to her favorite local shop, or bring her some fresh flowers from Trader Joe’s or Schnucks!)
- Cook her favorite meal for her, and don’t let her help! (Or get it delivered!)
- This one is easiest if you live close by (and enjoy cooking!), but if neither of those things are true, there are lots of St. Louis restaurants that offer delivery now! All you have to do is find out what her current favorite meal is, and where she would want it from, and have it delivered! Done in 1-2-3! (One of our staff’s favorite spots is the Twisted Tree Steakhouse. But they only offer pickup. However… It’s definitely worth the drive to make your mom feel extra special!)
- Take the family out for pictures in Forest Park
- As many kids, grandbabies, and furbabies as you can collect, plan a time to get them all to one spot in Forest Park. (There’s even an outdoor playground called the Anne O’C. Albrecht Nature Playscape, where the kids can burn some of their energy out in between shots!) Once you’ve found a good spot, put your phone on a self-timer and take some cute photos for her. To really finish this gift off right, get it printed and framed! This is a gift we’re sure she’ll love.
- Take her to see a movie, or a show of her choosing
- Making memories is a priceless gift. Whether she wants to see the newest blockbuster, go see a show at The Muny or The Fabulous Fox, or experience live music together, these kinds of memories will last a lifetime. Take her out on the town; she deserves a night out!
- Pick out something that will bring her JOY
