Be Still, And Know That I Am God

Be Still, And Know That I Am God

Busy can be good. Or not so good. Getting things done is necessary. But “staying busy” can also be a distraction.  It can be a way to convince ourselves that life is within our control. If you struggle with “busy” and wanting to be in control, Jesus is inviting you to:

“Be still and know that I am God.” Psalm 46:10

I love this verse. It is an invitation to let go of control and cling to God. I need to do both more often.

We live in a hurried world. We think we get extra credit for being busy or achieving.

But there is also freedom in being still before God and knowing Him well. Trusting Him. Resting in Him. I pray that you will pause from the busy today and accept His invitation to simply be still. And know.  -Sandi
