No one decides to be afraid. But fear doesn’t wait for an invitation. It is intrusive and stubborn. Fear tends to creep into our minds without warning. If you are wrestling with anxious thoughts and you’re afraid, this is for you.
You did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave to fear, but you received the Spirit of Sonship.” Romans 8:15
Fear has a voice. It may be loud and you probably know it well. But you don’t have to battle fearful thoughts alone. God has placed His Spirit inside of you as a constant reminder that you are His child. His Spirit is alive and working, in you, 24/7. And He is inviting you into freedom.
When fear begins to whisper, respond with Truth. Remind the father of lies that you are God’s child. Worship. Pray. Say your favorite scripture out loud. Fear shrinks in the presence of Truth.
Fear has already been defeated. You are free to walk in Truth.
