God Can Use It All…For Good

God Can Use It All…For Good

Do you ever jump to an emotional conclusion? I’m pretty good at it. I can write the story in my head, feel the hurt, play the blame game… and get into an emotional tizzy in an instant. But what if everything that you feel….isn’t always rooted in truth?

“You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good…” Genesis 50:20

Those words belong to Joseph, when he was looking back on his life. His brothers sold him into slavery. He was unjustly imprisoned. His whole life, seemingly, was unfair and full of pain.  He had reason to be upset and seek revenge.

But He also had reason to trust and thank God. He had experienced God’s presence. He had seen God work through unlikely ways. So he didn’t cling to the tizzy…He celebrated God’s goodness.

I want a heart like that. That sees the unfair. But clings to the goodness of God. That recognizes God is the One in control. His plans are best. And we are blessed when we stay in his hands.

What is God inviting you to let go of? And what is He inviting you to cling to?  – Sandi
