I like things to make sense. To line up and to be true. When they don’t add up or when bad things happen to good people, it feels so unfair. And it is easy, at those times, to question God.
“The Lord was with him.” Genesis 39:2, 21, 23
There’s a story in the Bible about Joseph. His life was full of unexpected turns. He was rejected by his brothers. Sold into slavery. Falsely accused. Imprisoned. Put into to places of leadership. All throughout his journey, through the ups and downs, scripture repeatedly says, “The Lord was with him.”
Through. It. All. Even the unexpected and the unfair.
God was present and working, even when things looked unfair and unkind to Joseph. When he was misunderstood and rejected. When he was raised up and honored.
The same is true for you. Right here, right now, God is with you. He sees. He knows. And He isn’t finished with your story. Or His plan.
In the end, Joseph’s life was a story of redemption and restoration. That is the story that God is always writing. So, hold on. The Lord is with you and your story isn’t over. Sandi
