I remember trying to teach my young kids about “grace.” It looked like this. They did something they shouldn’t have. They would get grounded from TV for a week. But, a couple of days into the grounding, we would sit down and talk about choices, consequences, and grace.
It was beautiful to see their faces when they realized they deserved to be grounded, but they were receiving grace.
“Let us approach the throne of grace with confidence,
so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.”
Hebrews 4:16
I love that God sits on a throne of grace. He’s just. But He also invites us to receive what we need most. Grace.
We don’t deserve it. But it is who God is. He offers you grace. That’s why you can approach Him with confidence today. Not because you deserve His attention or affection. But because His mercy and grace are new every morning. For you. – Sandi
