On the surface this makes no sense. But I’ve experienced it to be true. Giving is more fulfilling than receiving. There’s some intangible, but very real, thing that happens in our hearts when we give of ourselves. It’s like God smiles and it makes our hearts smile too.
“A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed.” Proverbs 11:25
Fear says that if we give, we won’t have enough. Faith says, God is enough and will provide.
I don’t know what generosity looks like in your life today. But I do know that God invites us into His generous nature. To trust Him when it doesn’t make sense. To put our love for Him into action so the world can experience Him. And when we do…He refreshes our souls as well..
So, are you ready to say a bold generous prayer today? “God, I’m willing to be used by you to refresh someone today. Will you show me how? I trust you to provide… through me and for me today.”
