There is more going on around you than what your eyes can see. There’s evidence of that in scripture. A faithful leader, Elisha, and his army were surrounded and outnumbered by an intruding enemy army. A servant asked Elisha what they should do. And Elisha said,
“Don’t be afraid. Those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” 2 Kings 6:16.
Then he asked God to open his servant’s eyes so that he could fully see. God did, and the servant was able to see that the enemy’s army was surrounded by horses and chariots of fire. A spiritual battle was happening.
What a powerful picture! You may be fearful today because you’re surrounded by trouble. You see it. You feel it. But may God open your eyes to see and believe that you are also surrounded by His love and protection. He is working in powerful ways.
