If You’re Desperate To Hear From God, Keep Listening. He Knows Your Name

If you’re praying for someone who doesn’t yet know the Lord or if you feel like you’ve missed God’s voice before, know this:  God is patient and persistent.

“Samuel did not yet know the Lord…the Lord called Samuel a third time…” 1 Samuel 3:7-8

I love this story because I can relate to it. God called Samuel repeatedly, and Samuel didn’t recognize God’s voice. But God didn’t move on. He kept calling. He was patient and persistent. That is who God is.

If you’re desperate to hear from God, keep listening. He knows your name.

If you’re praying for someone who seems out of reach, keep praying. God knows their name as well.

God is faithful to speak. Personally. Persistently.

And when He does speak, peace comes when you listen and surrender. “Here I am. Your servant is listening.”  (1 Samuel 3:10) – Sandi
