Is God still good when life feels unfair? What do you do when life unfolds in a way that you never saw coming? Is it possible even in those times to have an “even if” kind of faith?
“If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to save us…but even if he does not, we…will not serve your gods…” Daniel 3:17-18
When the heat gets turned up, when outcomes don’t match our expectations, when we can’t understand the “why,” is God still good?
Sometimes God’s way isn’t our way. And that’s when faith is required. Not a faith that says He will eventually do what we want him to do. But a sturdy, foundational faith that says, “Even if, Lord. I will trust you.”
A faith in who God is. A trusting in a good God, even when life doesn’t feel good. God isn’t always predictable. But He is always faithful.
One day, when we see Him face to face, we will understand in full. Until then, including today, we trust a God we can’t see. Even if.
