Jesus was a friend of sinners.
“Jesus was having dinner with many tax collectors and sinners….It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick.” Matthew 9:10-13
Why is it easy to embrace God’s love in our lives, but forget that He loves every other sinner as well?
When Jesus chose to have dinner with “them” (sinners), the religious people didn’t understand it. And they didn’t like it. Jesus reminded them and us that He came for those who most need Him. Sinners. People like…me and you. And everyone else whose lives have been wrecked by sin.
We still need Jesus. And we will encounter people today who need a Savior. May we love like Jesus today. – Sandi
