“Love” is one of the most powerful things you can do. And when God says LOVE and MUST in the same sentence…it must be important.
“Whoever loves God must also love his brother.” 1 John 4:21
When I try to separate my love for God and the rest of my life, this verse comes to mind.
In some ways, it’s easier to love God than other people. He’s perfect. He loved us first. He’s always good.
But people… they get on our nerves, they disagree, and they don’t always act the way we think they should.
Maybe that’s why God calls us to love. Because we’re all just passing along what He has already so freely given to us.
Loving God looks like loving others well… Undeserving, unkind, and unworthy people…just like us.
