Notes From A “Weak Seat”

Notes From A “Weak Seat”

“We all want the strong seat. But what if what God can use you more if you’re sitting in the weak seat?” A good friend asked me that question recently and it hasn’t left my mind. I was having a pity party because I felt helpless in an area of my life. My friend challenged me with the truth: What if God is allowing me to sit in a “weak seat” for awhile instead of in a position of strength and ability…and it is for my good?

“He who is least among you all- he is the greatest.” Luke 9:48

The disciples argued about who among them was the greatest. Jesus reminded them that whoever welcomes children is the greatest. Whoever humbly accepts their own limitations and realizes their need for a Savior…they have received the greatest gift.

If you are sitting in a “weak seat” remember that God can still use you. In fact, His ability to work through and be seen in your weakest moments may be a gift to you and for others to see. He is strong. You can trust Him, even from the weak seat. – Sandi
