You are not the only person who loves Jesus and still struggles with discouragement and fear.
“The Lord himself will be with you; he will never leave you…Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.” Deuteronomy 31:8
God knows what is ahead of you. He knows it is unknown, a bit scary, and that at times, you may get discouraged. Otherwise, His encouragement and presence wouldn’t be needed. But it is.
Just because you love Jesus doesn’t mean life is easy. But it does mean that God walks before you and stays with you. His presence brings peace through the uncertainty. Courage when you feel afraid. And confidence that no matter what’s ahead. God is faithful.
So, take Him at His word. Take this verse to heart. And maybe even to memory. You have every reason to trust God. He’s with you. Through the fear. Through the fire. Be encouraged and walk with Him. – Sandi
