Is there something that you are pleading with God about? Because He’s the only One who can make it right? And you can’t figure out why He’s making you wait?
“Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.” Psalm 27:14
Why is God’s timing rarely our choosing? The easy answer is because He’s God and we’re not. But there’s nothing easy about waiting on the Lord, even when you know that He’s God and He’s good.
A friend once told me that waiting on God isn’t passive. And it isn’t wasted time. Waiting on God is more like watching for Him and experiencing Him in the not yet. Because He’s with you now and He’s always working.
And if we’re hyper-focused on the one thing we’re waiting for God to do, we may miss the richness of what He’s doing in and around us.
If you’re waiting, try asking God to give you a glimpse of His presence and activity in your life today. Wait and watch for the Lord, who is with you and promises to never leave. You are waiting WITH God, not simply FOR Him. – Sandi
