Self-doubt. Do you wrestle with it like I do? I second guess and disqualify myself from…everything. What if God doesn’t see you the way that you see yourself? Moses was a self-doubter as well. He gave a laundry list of reasons why He couldn’t be used by God. And this what God said…and perhaps is saying to you:
“Who gave you your mouth? Who gives sight? Isn’t it I, the Lord? Now go, I will help you speak and will teach you what to say.” Exodus 4:11-12
God knows everything about you. Including your weaknesses. But they don’t disqualify you from His love or Kingdom work. They make you dependent on Him. And that’s a good thing!
If you feel inadequate to live for God or share His love, remember that God works through broken vessels. That’s when He gets the most glory, when His power is on display in your brokenness and weakness.
I pray that God helps you (and me) with self-doubt. And I pray that He helps us with our God-doubt too.
What if God is saying, “Now, go…” to all of us? What does He want to say and do through you today? – Sandi
