The lies of the enemy that I hear most often are rooted in fear or discouragement.
“Do not be afraid or discouraged…For the battle is not yours, but God’s.” 2 Chronicles 20:15
There is a real enemy. There is a real God. And there’s you…in the middle of what may feel like a losing battle. The emotions are also real…fear, overwhelm, discouragement.
If you’re feeling any of that today, be encouraged by the story behind that verse. God’s people were outnumbered by a powerful enemy. But God told them to face their enemy and know that the Lord was with them.
They did. And He was. Victory was theirs that day. And they learned something that I need to remember: God is always fighting for you.
The “too big” and the “too heavy” are outpowered by your God. So don’t be afraid or discouraged. You don’t have to fix it or fight it. Just know that the Lord is with you. And the battle is his, not yours. – Sandi
