The most powerful move of God in your life. What comes to mind? The first time you asked for forgiveness? An answered prayer that seemed impossible? When He came through in a way that you KNOW it was God.
“In the future, when your children ask, ‘What do these stones mean?’
Tell them that the flow of the Jordan was cut off…these stones are a memorial…forever.”
Joshua 4:6-7
When God stopped the river from flowing so that all His people could cross, during flood stage, He wanted them to memorialize His faithfulness. God didn’t need stones stacked up on the riverbank. But He knew how forgetful we are. He knew there would come a day when His people would need to remember the faithfulness of God.
Perhaps you’re there today. What are your stones of remembrance? The times that God’s presence brought peace. When you saw God do what only He could do. Those are the stones…the stories to share. With your family and with the world. They speak of your journey, but also of God’s unfailing faithfulness. Remember your stones.– Sandi
