Ektrepho Ministries

My name is Lauren Fink and I am the director of Ektrepho ministries. Ektre-what? Ektrepho. Actually, Ektrepho is a Greek word that means nourish. In every season of life, it is so important to nourish our souls and have regular opportunities to worship, learn, and spend time with Jesus. Sadly, many seniors residing in assisted living facilities or nursing homes do not have access to church services or times of worship. So, out of this need, the nonprofit Ektrepho was born. Our mission is to provide spiritual nourishment through worship services, devotional times, and Bible studies, to seniors in assisted living facilities.

I am looking for individuals to serve as guest worship leaders to serve in our homes. We currently serve in eleven different assisted living facilities across St. Louis and St. Charles County Missouri. We currently have worship services on Sunday morning and afternoon, as well as Thursday mornings. Individuals can serve as much or little as desired in cooperation with the ministry director. There are no fixed hours and pay is based upon leading frequency. Individuals receive a $30 stipend for every service they lead.

Leading worship means selecting 4-5 Protestant hymns to sing with our seniors, taking our seniors prayer requests, and communicating with the ministry director for further instructions and scheduling. Please email Lauren at lauren@ektrepho.org for more details.
