I wonder how many times my “good” gets in the way of God’s best?
“I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.” John 15:5
I see it in my life, at times. I tend to try to do “it” on my own. Carry the load. Move the ball forward. Get the job done. And sometimes, it is good. But I’ve also seen the times when I feel completely overwhelmed, call out to God in desperation and He does something only He could do. The best of outcomes because it came from His hand and heart.
It is humbling. And it is a reminder that my heart needs. Perhaps you do as well. Without Him, we can do nothing of eternal impact. But with His power working through us, nothing is impossible. And that’s the only way to experience the things that only He can make possible.
May we not settle for good. And may the power of the Holy Spirit be at work in and through us for His glory. He is the source. We are nothing without Him. – Sandi
