Every grocery cart I get seems to veer. They all seem to have an urge to go in the wrong direction. Maybe we do as well?
“Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Come near to God and he will come near to you.” James 4:7-8
We all have a natural leaning or pull to satisfy ourselves. To gravitate to self-destructive behaviors and patterns. The enemy knows our weaknesses and encourages us to veer in that direction…to the popular.
The comfortable. To all the things that aren’t God’s best.
I’m so thankful that God understands our “wobbly wheel veering.” When we get lured toward things that that aren’t His best, He still says, “Come to me.” And the beautiful thing is that He is always coming toward us as well. His heart “veers” toward us with a fierce passion.
God is inviting you to veer toward Him and away from the distractions today. What would it look like to take a step toward Jesus? He longs to be close to you. Lean into His heart. – Sandi
