Jesus says that these two things are most important to Him and required for us:
- We MUST love God. 2. We MUST love each other.
“Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul and mind. And Love your neighbor as yourself.” Matthew 22:37-39
It is easy to view loving God as something spiritual and loving people as something optional. But that isn’t the truth of scripture. Jesus commanded and requires both.
I pray that God increases our capacity to love today. May we love Him well, but not stop there. Loving God and loving people… may that be our heart’s desire because it is the desire of His heart. – Sandi
