What if God is more of a “grace giver” than a “score keeper?”
“The Lord longs to be gracious to you; He rises to show you compassion…Blessed are all who wait for Him!” Isaiah 30:18
Is that your picture of God? That He is longing to show you grace? That responds to you with compassion? Every time?
This verse is a good reminder for my soul. Obviously, God knows our mistakes and our weaknesses. But who we are or what we do doesn’t change His love for us. He still offers undeserved grace. He is moved by our pain and struggles and shows compassion.
If you are hesitant to call out to God because you think He may reject you, let the truth of this verse sink in. He loves you. He has already paid the price to forgive and restore you. Let His love and grace sink into your mind and heart today. – Sandi
