When I was younger, I remember thinking, “ I wish I could see what God looks like!” Does He look old? How big is He? Does He smile?
As I’ve gotten older, I realize that we get glimpses of God every day: He looks like a patient mother. An encouraging father. A compassionate teacher. A faithful husband. A kind friend.
“No one has ever seen God; but if we love each other,
God lives in us, and His love is made complete in us.”
1 John 4:12
There is evidence of God all around us. In and through us, as well. When we love each other, God’s love is made complete in us and it is also on display for the world to see. It’s one of the reasons God’s Word is so clear about our need to love…..because it gives the world a glimpse of Jesus.
So, what does God look like today? He looks like you….when you love well. May everyone who looks at our lives today see Jesus. – Sandi
