It struck me when I read this verse…I sometimes let my own “gods” take the throne in my mind and heart that belong to God alone.
“Who is God besides the Lord? And who is the Rock except our God?” 2 Samuel 22:32
So many answers can be found in the right questions.
Who is the only One with authority to create oceans and mountains? Who left heaven to come as a baby and die as a mocked King?
Sometimes I forget. I allow my fear or pride to speak into my life more than God himself. I start to try to build my life on temporary foundations instead of on God’s Word.
