A friend told me that disappointment is when your expectation doesn’t match the reality. We’ve all been there. We expected an outcome, and it didn’t happen. And if we’re honest, we even get disappointed with God.
So, what do you do with that disappointment? Stop praying? Stop believing? Or perhaps trust that He has something else in mind?
“My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord.
As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.”
Isaiah 55: 8-9
God understands your disappointment. And He invites you to trust Him, even when you can’t understand Him. Trust His heart, his track record, and His promises. His thoughts and plans are higher. Better. And rooted in love for you. – Sandi
