Sometimes I ask God for the “microwave” version of His plan. The “I know it won’t be as good as the simmer all day version, but I’d rather have it now than wait.” Then I read this verse and realize that God’s plan and timing are worth waiting for.
“He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion…” Philippians 1:6
I love every good reminder tucked in that verse. God is working in your life. It is a good work that is worth waiting for. And God always completes what He begins. But He doesn’t settle for shortcuts and mediocrity. He patiently and perfectly completes His plans, including every one of your tomorrows.
You can trust the God who made you and knows every detail of your life, even the yet-to-come moments. Your story isn’t yet complete. But you can trust the Author. – Sandi
