It is a word that we love around here at JOY FM. And it is also a word that may cause a little bit of anxiety. Obedience.
We get really excited about seeing God work. But there’s something even better than watching God work. It’s joining in and seeing God work through you. That’s obedience. To follow God’s lead. And see Him do what only He can do, through your life.
“Show me your ways, Lord…guide me in your truth…
for you are God and my hope is in you all day long.”
Psalm 25:4-5
What an honest prayer. God, open my eyes to where you’re working. Lead the way and I will follow because you are my hope.
If you’re looking for a closer relationship with Jesus, or more purpose in life, ask God for a fresh invitation. A new glimpse. And then take a step, follow His heart and find the joy that comes when He works in and through you. Obedience can seem a bit intimidating. But it is what you’re made for.
