I used to be so fearful that I wasn’t getting this “Jesus thing” right. I was afraid that I wasn’t praying “right” or that I didn’t “mean it enough” when I called out to God. I was certain Jesus and heaven were just beyond my grasp.
Then “it” happened. God lovingly showed me that salvation isn’t about me or what I do. It is found in Him, the perfect, faithful One.
“We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure.” Hebrews 6:19
When your hope is in Jesus, and not your own doing, you find peace. You know that He is the steady anchor for your life.
If you’re unsure or unsteady about your relationship with Jesus, talk with Him about it. Don’t let fear or your own sense of worth get in the way of peace.
