If God can do anything in an instant, why does He seemingly choose to wait?
“March around the city once….do this for 6 days. On the 7th day, march around the city seven times….” Joshua 6:3-5
God’s people were in a battle. God promised the victory. So why in the world did he require his people to march around for days before He brought the wall of Jericho down?
God was ready on day one. But His people weren’t. God had more in mind than a wall coming down. He wanted to tend to their hearts and build their faith.
That’s who God is. And the “why” behind what He does. He will lovingly do whatever it takes to build your faith and confidence in Him.
Day after day of marching, praying and hoping. It led to victory. In more ways than one.
The same is true for you. Keep waiting and trusting. God is faithful. And He’s working something good in you, even before the breakthrough. -Sandi
