If You Feel Empty, God Has A Promise For You

If You Feel Empty, God Has A Promise For You

When your tummy growls, what does it mean? You’re hungry!  Question for you today:  What are you hungry for?

“Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.”  Matthew 5:6

I’m challenged by this verse because it makes me question how hungry I am for the things of God. I recognize the emptiness in life sometimes. But what if the “empty” we feel is from a lack of desire for God’s Word and God’s way?

Truth be told, sometimes I ignore the growling of my soul.  If you’re hungry and thirsty for more of Jesus….He promises to fill you.  His Word and His presence always satisfy.

If you don’t have much of an appetite for Jesus or spiritual things yet, can I challenge you to ask God to make you hungry?  There’s nothing more satisfying than being loved by your heavenly Father and filled with His peace and joy. When you hunger for more of Jesus, He will fill you with His presence.  – Sandi
